AMD is now offering copies of Far Cry 5 with Radeon Powered systems

For a limited time, those who purchase AMD Radeon powered systems with an RX 580, or RX Vega 56 and 64 series GPUs will be able to claim a free copy of Far Cry 5 for free, provided they purchase the game at a participating retailer.

This offer only applies to full systems which utilise the selected GPUs and does not apply to standalone graphics cards, which is understandable given the popularity of Radeon GPUs for cryptocurrency mining.

In the UK this offer applies to a large number of popular PC gaming retailers, such as Box LTD, OCUK, CCL Computers, Scan Computers, PC Specialist and many others, with a full list of global participating retailers being available to view here. This offer will be open until May 20th, or until AMD’s supply of game codes are exhausted. Far Cry 5 will be delivered to gamers in the form of a redeemable Uplay code.

Far Cry 5 will ship with optimisations for AMD’s Radeon Vega hardware, offering support for Rapid Packed Math and support for Microsoft’s DirectX 12 API. With these changes, the game is expected to perform most efficiently on Vega hardware, utilising FP16 compute to accelerate specific workloads on Radeon Vega graphics (which includes Raven Ridge).
