AMD plans to launch Zen 3 and RDNA 2 this October at separate events

AMD has announced that they plan to reveal their Zen 3 and RDNA 2 products this October, promising “leadership performance across computing and graphics”.

Zen 3 is due to power AMD’s Ryzen 4000 series of desktop processors, and RDNA 2 is due to power AMD’s Radeon RX 6000 series of graphics cards. In addition to this, RDNA 2 will power both the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 consoles, albeit in semi-custom forms.

With RDNA 2 AMD’s teaser, the company promises gamers “a breakthrough gaming architecture”, confirming that RDNA 2 will deliver PC gamers an incredible performance upgrade over today’s RDNA-based products. Now, the question is this. Can Radeon best Ampere?

On October 8th, AMD plans to discuss their Zen 3 architecture, and on October 28th, AMD plans to discuss RDNA 2. At this time it is unknown when RDNA 2 and Zen 3 products will launch, though it seems likely that AMD will release new graphics cards in November.
