AMD RDNA 4 GPU appears on Geekbench with 56 CUs and 16GB of memory

Early AMD RDNA 4 specifications revealed? Early Geekbench results spotted

Thanks to Benchleaks, we are now aware of several new Geekbench results that could be for new RDNA 4 graphics cards. These results reveal what could be the specifications of one of AMD’s next-generation graphics cards.

These benchmarks are listed with the GFX1201 references, suggesting that these new results are for an RDNA 4 GPU. AMD’s RDNA 3 and RDNA 3.5 GPUs feature GFX11XX and GFX115X IDs, so it makes sense for RDNA 4 to feature GFX12XX identifiers.

Sadly, the scores from these early benchmarks are far from impressive. Beyond that, the listed clock speed of 2,101 MHz is rather low. As such, these performance results shouldn’t be considered in any real depth, as something clearly isn’t right with these scores.

Below, we can see that AMD’s GFX1201 GPU is listed with 28 Compute Units (CUs). Assuming that these listed compute units are in fact AMD Work Group processors (WGPs), the real CU count of this GPU is 56 Compute Units. This would place this graphics card between AMD’s Radeon RX 7700XT (54 CUs) and RX 7800 XT (60 CUs) in terms of CU count. Furthermore, this GPU has been listed as having 16GB of VRAM. This VRAM is likely GDDR6 memory.

This new Radeon RDNA 4 graphics card may be a Radeon RX 7700XT successor. If that is the case, this GPU would benefit from more memory, and additional compute units. Additionally, this GPU would benefit from any architectural enhancements that RDNA 4 can deliver.

Previous leaks have suggested that AMD partners are shifting their focus to new RDNA 4 products. Furthermore, AMD’s RDNA 4 graphics architecture reportedly features some major ray tracing advancements.
