AMD releases Radeon Software 18.3.4 for Far Cry 5
AMD releases Radeon Software 18.3.4 for Far Cry 5
Strangely, this driver introduces an issue where systems can hang when twelve total graphics cards are used for compute workloads. Gamers will no doubt be happy with these issues, given their distaste for cryptocurrency miners, though it will merely force miners to use older drivers. This driver is also said to fix a problem that caused previous releases to offer lower levels of blockchain/mining performance. Â
Right now Radeon Software version 18.3.4 doesn’t support AMD’s Raven Ridge series of APUs, leaving AMD’s latest integrated graphics chips without optimisations for Far Cry 5. AMD has to work on merging their APU drivers with their major Adrenalin driver releases, or risk allowing their APUs to be left behind. From a driver perspective, AMD’s Raven Ridge APUs can already be considered second-class citizens. Â
