AMD reportedly moves forward its RX 9060 XT launch – Delays RX 9070 GRE
AMD’s reportedly launching its Radeon RX 9060 XT on May 18th, ahead of Computex 2025
According to Chinese sources at board partners, via @realVictor_m, AMD has decided to move the launch date of its Radeon RX 9060 XT graphics card forward to May 18th. This places the reveal of AMD’s new GPU ahead of Computex 2025, the expected reveal event for AMD’s next RDNA 4 graphics card.
The same leak also suggests that AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE launch has been “postponed” and that the GPU will now launch in Q4 2025. The leak claims that AMD’s RX 9060 XT will be available in 8GB and 16GB forms, and that the RX 9070 GRE will feature 12GB of VRAM.
As we have reported previously, AMD is reportedly targeting a price range of $269-$299 for the 8GB Radeon RX 9060 XT and $329-$379 for the 16GB model. Based on expected pricing and performance, this places AMD’s new GPUs in direct competition with Nvidia’s RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti. AMD will likely finalise soon following Nvidia’s RTX 5060 Ti launch. After all, this is when AMD will learn how strong its competition is.
