AMD’s Liquid Cooled RX 6900 XT is SI-only – Radeon Confirms

It’s official, AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT Liquid Cooled (LC) GPU is exclusive to System Integrators (SIs), which means that AMD fans won’t be able to purchase this Limited Edition graphics card outside of PCs from selected SIs.  

AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT LC is AMD’s most powerful Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics card, using liquid cooling, faster GDDR6 VRAM and a boosted power limit to deliver a significant performance uplift over AMD’s reference RX 6900 XT models. 

Right now, System Integrators like NZXT, PC Specialist, and Maingear are offering PC gamers custom systems that contain AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT LC. PC builders will not be able to purchase this graphics card as a standalone product, and these graphics cards are reportedly in short supply. 

Dospara, a Japanese system builder, has also issued a press release that claims that the retailer only has 100 units that feature AMD’s reference liquid cooler. If this level of stock is similar to other SIs, it looks like AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT LC will be available in incredibly small qualities. 

In a statement to Andreas Schilling, AMD said the following; 

 
Below are the specifications of AMD’s RX 6900 XT LC graphics card. The limited-edition graphics card features a “game clock” of 2250 MHz and 18Gbps GDDR6 memory. These changes indicate that AMD’s RX 6900 XT LC features a game clock speed boost of around 11.7% and a VRAM bandwidth increase of 11.25% compared to the company’s reference air-cooled RX 6900 XT.
