The world class overclocker k|ngp|n has been able to overclock a GTX 1080 Ti to over 3GHz, with a memory overclock that provided the GPU with over 500GB/s of bandwidth.

This overclock is the highest that has ever been achieved on a GPU, which was a 3012GHz overclock on a GTX 1060, giving this overclocked GTX 1080 Ti significantly more performance if it proves stable in benchmarks.

EVGA hints that this is just the beginning, perhaps hinting that aftermarket GPU designs could provide better LN2 overclocks, or that k|ngp|n will be able to use this or a similar overclock to gain some world record performance benchmarks.
