AOC launches their 49-inch 120Hz Ultrawide 5K AGON AG493UCX monitor
As a FreeSync Premium Pro monitor, the AOC AG493UCX supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technologies and gaming-grade HDR support. AMD’s FreeSync Premium standards ensure that validated monitors meet AMD’s low latency standards and AMD’s unique HDR specifications, which exceed those of the DisplayHDR specifications in several key aspects. In terms of peak brightness, this screen can deliver up to 550 nits of brightness.Â
With a VA panel with 1ms MPRT response times, 178/178 degree viewing angles, and 90% PCI-P3 gamut coverage, the AGON AG493UCX monitor should tick a lot of boxes for users. Add on the screen’s large allotment of display connections, and both gamers and content creators should be pleased with what is on offer here. This screen can also display dual 16:9 images side-by-side, which may be useful for some productivity applications.Â
AOC has stated that the AGON AG493UCX will be available this month in the UK/EU with a recommended retail price of £899.   Â
