ASRock reveals Phantom Gaming M1 Series RX 570 mining GPUs

At the launch of ASRock’s new Phantom Gaming series of graphics cards, ASRock didn’t list any mining specific graphics cards on their website. Regardless leaked spec sheets and images did showcase that mining hardware was on the horizon. 

ASRock has now officially listed two new Phantom Gaming M1 series RX 570 mining graphics cards on their website. These official webpage listing do not mention mining even once in the GPU’s specifications or capabilities, though the lack of any display outputs aside from DVI and the M1 (Mining 1?) name are both clear indications that this is a mining-oriented graphics card. Not many PCs use DVI these days.  

This Phantom Gaming M1 RX570 comes in two forms, offering either 4GB or 8GB of GDDR5 memory, delivering identical clock speeds and cooling solutions. The GPU cooler on these M1 series graphics cards is a circular design that is similar to a stock/reference CPU cooler, with a copper base and two heat pipe which connect to a radial aluminium heat fin array. In short, the cooling solution on this GPU is extremely basic, with the Phantom Gaming M1 shipping with lower clock speeds than ASRock’s gaming-oriented Phantom Gaming X RX 570 OC variant.
