Images of ASRock’s upcoming Radeon VII Phantom Gaming have appeared online (via PC_Shopping), revealing the world’s first Radeon VII graphics card from an AMD AIB partner.

Sadly, this Phantom Gaming graphics card is not a custom design, with ASRock opting to use AMD’s reference PCB and cooler design, making this graphics card little more than AMD’s Radeon VII design with ASRock branding. This makes the Radeon VII remarkably similar to ASRock’s RX Vega Phantom Gaming offerings, which also utilise AMD’s reference design.

AMD has already committed to releasing their Radeon VII graphics card via their AIB partners and through AMD.com, making the launch of reference Radeon VII graphics cards inevitable. So far we have heard no reports of custom Radeon VII designs, making it possible that most AIBs will stick to AMD’s triple fan reference model, which should offer plenty of cooling performance for AMD’s first 7nm gaming graphics card.
