ASUS officially launches their ROG Strix XG27VQ FreeSync display

ASUS has officially revealed their new ROG Strix XG27VQ display, which offers a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz and supports VESA Adaptive-Sync/AMD FreeSync.

This new display will offer a resolution of 1080p as ASUS’ new Extreme Low Motion Blur technology, making images as sharp as possible at even this display’s maximum refresh rate. This display also comes with a 1800R curve, which allows for a more comfortable viewing experience, especially when used in a multi-monitor setup.

The Republic of Gamers Strix series of gaming displays is the brands first ever FreeSync line of gaming monitors, with the XG27VQ coming with a VA panel type, a FreeSync range of 48-144Hz (LFC compliant) and 72% coverage of the NTSC colour gamut.

The upcoming ROG Strix XG27VQ gaming monitor blends silky-smooth graphics and gorgeous gaming aesthetics to deliver an incredible gaming experience. It’s going to be the monitor of choice for professional gamers and MOBA aficionados!

This new display does not mention any form of HDR support in its specifications, which is unsurprising given this display’s resolution, a max brightness of 300 cd/m^2 and use of an 8-bit panel type.

In terms of unique features, this display is the first ASUS FreeSync display to offer ASUS AURA Suny support and ASUS’ customisable “light signature” stand which offers height, tilt and directional adjustment options. This display will also come with a 1800R curvature and a 27″ panel size.
