Can’t afford an RTX 3080? Why not 3D Print one?
Can’t afford an RTX 3080? Why not 3D print one?
This free 3D model is available over on the Prusa Printers website and is available in the form of Prusa MK3 printable files or as STL model files for users of other 3D printers. This model requires two colours of PLA (or an alternative filament type) and is designed to allow â¬2 coins to be inserted.Â
The designer of this free model said that a friend of his requested the design, as her boyfriend was saving up for a new graphics card. Nils Kal later decided to release his model publically, allowing others to use it to create RTX 3080 replicas for display purposes. This model is scaled down to fit the bed size of the Prusa MK3 3D printer, but scaling the models to 142% in slicer software will bring the model to the same size as a real-world RTX 3080.Â
Those who are interested in this model can download it and find full assembly instructions for Nils Kal’s RTX 3080 Piggy Bank here.
