Corsair’s monitor survey hints at the company’s gaming ambitions

In recent years Corsair has diversified their PC hardware offerings, starting off as a memory manufacturer to become a juggernaut that manufacturers, cases, coolers, keyboards, mice and even complete systems.

Now it looks like Corsair’s plans to enter the monitor market are closer than ever, with the company requesting feedback on how they use their PC’s monitors.

Back in 2018. Corsair requested job applications on indeed for the role of Monitor Product Manager. This job listing called for individuals who could define a gaming display roadmap for the company, develop competitive products, define feature sets by analysing market trends, and are willing to travel and has at least five years of experience in marketing for both consumer and gaming products.

In their monitor survey, Corsair asks what their fanbase’s prefered monitor panel type is (TN, IPS, VA, OLED etc), the size and number of screens they use and whether or not they utilise VESA monitor mounts, monitor mounted headset stands or other advanced features. Clearly, Corsair wants to know what PC gamers look for in a new monitor.

At this time it is hard to tell how far Corsair’s display plans have progressed, but it seems like the company is still a long way from producing its own gaming monitors.
