Dell announce their new 27″ Ultrasharp UP2718Q 4K HDR monitor

Dell has announced their new 27″ Ultrasharp UP2718Q 4K HDR10 monitor, coming with extreme colour accuracy for professional use and a price tag of $1999.99.

This display offers a peak brightness of 1,000 nits for HDR content and a brightness of 400 nits for non-HDR content, with support for 100% of the AdobeRGB, 100% sRGB, 100% REC 709 and 76.9 REC2020 colour coverage.

Inputs wise this display comes with a single DisplayPort 1.4, a single mini-DisplayPort 1.4 and dual HDMI 2.0a ports, as well as two USB 3.0 inputs that output to make a 4x USB 3.0 hub.

With this display lacking support for variable refresh rate technology like FreeSync or G-Sync, it is clear that this display is designed for professional use exclusively, though I doubt that any gamers would even consider spending almost $2000 on a PC display without VRR.
