Information on DOOM’s upcoming Closed Beta and the beta’s recommended system requirements have been announced for the PC platform.

The Closed Beta of the game will be for the Multiplayer component of the game only and will be made available to those who have Pre-ordered or purchased Wolfenstein: The New Order before May 26th 2014. This beta will take place simultaneously on PS4, Xbox one and PC, starting on March 31st and ending on April 3rd. 

 

        Players eligible for the DOOM Beta through their purchase of Wolfenstein: The New Order, your chance to play DOOM Multiplayer is coming! We will be running the Closed Beta between March 31 and April 3. To check eligibility requirements, please visit www.doom.com/beta. Participants will be able to try out Team Deathmatch and the recently revealed Warpath mode on two maps: Heatwave and Infernal. 

 

  

Below are the PC system requirements for the upcoming beta, which are designed for 60+ FPS gameplay at a resolution of 1080p, though please remember that these requirements may not be representative of the final version of the game. 

 

Recommended Spec (1080p)

  • Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 (64-bit versions only)
  • Intel Core i7-3770 or better / AMD FX-8350 or better
  • 8GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (4GB) or better / AMD Radeon R9 290 (4GB) or better
  • Up to 22GB HDD space
  • Steam account
  • Broadband internet connection
