eBuyer enters the Gaming monitor market with Element Gaming displays

eBuyer is coming into the monitor market with a bang, releasing their Element Gaming 27″ QHD 144Hz Gaming Monitor to the world for a low price of £269.98.

Unlike most modern monitors, eBuyer’s Element Gaming monitor’s name tells us almost everything that we need to know about it. The display ships with a 27-inch 2560×1440 TN panel, offering users a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz with support for AMD FreeSync technology, delivering gamers almost everything that they could ask for given the display’s affordable asking price.

Thanks to this display’s use of a TN panel, the screen offers users a fast 1ms response time, with the monitor’s “edge-to-edge”/”Micro-Edge” design providing users with a minimal bezel size, making the monitor ideal for multi-display configurations. Sadly, eBuyer’s Element Gaming monitor lacks VESA display mounts, which makes this monitor incompatible with monitor arms, a sacrifice that was likely made to maintain the display’s sub-£300 price point.

Input-wise, the monitor supports HDMI, DVI-D and DisplayPort video connections and offers a maximum brightness of 350cd/m2 of brightness. This display lacks support for HDR, though that is a given for monitors of this price point, especially given the Element Gaming’s resolution and refresh rate.

Sadly, Element Gaming has not revealed this monitor’s Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) range, though, given this monitor’s 144Hz maximum refresh, it is likely that this monitor supports a full 30-144Hz range thanks to AMD’s low Framerate Compensation (LFC) technology.

The only two downsides of this display is its use of a TN panel, as a lot of gamers prefer the colour reproduction of high-end VA or IPS displays, and the Element Gaming’s lack of VESA mounts, though these factors could be overlooked by some buyers given the Element Gaming’s low price and TN’s fast response times.
