EK releases MSI R9 390X GAMING 8G Full-Cover water block
Â
EK has released a full cover water block for MSI’s R9 390X GAMING 8GB GPU, A GPU which has won an OC3D Gold Award and is easily one of the best R9 390X GPUs available.Â
When the R9 390X launched a lot of GPU makers simply released a R9 390X with the same PCB and cooler as the R9 290X, but MSI placed a lot of time and effort into their R9 390X, designing a new custom PCB and upgrading the cooler significantly, resulting in the release of one of the highest clocked R9 390X’s on the market. Â Â
The new EK-FC R9-390X TF5 waterblock is designed specifically for MSI’s R9 390X GPU, actively cooling the GPU core, the memory and the VRMs, giving this GPU a great deal of extra thermal headroom for overclocking.Â
This new waterblock will be available with Acetal and acrylic tops and can be bought with a anodized aluminum backplate, which will improve the aesthetics of the GPU by covering up the PCB.Â
Personally I think that this new water block looks great, especially with the red coolant that EK has shown off in their pictures, perfect for an MSI red or an AMD themed build.Â

Â
Right now this waterblock is currently available directly from EK and will be available at EK partnered stores soon for the prices below.Â
