Far Cry Primal will have a Built in Benchmarking tool

Far Cry Primal will feature a Built in Benchmarking tool, allowing PC gamers to adjust their settings and test their performance outside of the main game.

The Benchmark moves through the opening area of the game and is said to be very representative of actual gameplay, though we will be testing this when the game launches tomorrow.

Right now Far Cry Primal has not received any Game Ready drivers from either AMD or Nvidia, but hopefully we will be getting these soon.

When we test Far Cry Primal tomorrow we will be testing both the In-Game Benchmark and gameplay in order to test whether or not it is representative of actual gameplay. Hopefully this benchmark will be just as or slightly more demanding than the actual game, as if it isn’t the tool is effectively useless for optimizing your game settings for your specific hardware.

Do you like to see benchmarks in games? Would you like to see it included in more games? You can join the discussion on Far Cry Primal’s Built in Benchmarking tool on the OC3D Forums.
