Gigabyte has revealed what looks like a GTX 1080Ti, using their Aorus Graphics card design and an unannounced GPU core that will be “launching from Nvidia very soon”.

This reveal comes from a video from HardwareCanucks, who were able to view a selection of upcoming Gigabyte motherboards, GPUs and other products at CES 2017. In this video (around 221 seconds in), HardwareCanucks showcase an upcoming Gigabyte Aorus graphics card, which has dual 8-pin PCIe power connectors, two SLI fingers and a custom backplate which features RGB illumination, which is similar to ASUS’ current high-end Strix GPU offerings.

This GPU is clearly a high-end model, as can be seen from the cards power delivery system and SLI compatibility. HardwareCanucks hints that this GPU will be tested in Spring 2017, which lines up with new rumours that the GTX 1080Ti will launch at Pax East 2017, which takes place in early March.

There is one more thing on display. This is Gigabyte’s new Aorus GPU, which is based upon Gigabyte Xtreme design but incorporates a few minor cosmetic changes. Now I say new because the actual graphics core here is so new that we can’t even tell you what it is. Let’s just say it will be launching from Nvidia very soon. And the positioning of Aorus as a premium high-end brand matches perfectly with this core’s target market. It will certainly be interesting spring time at HardwareCanucks offices.
