The idea behind Gigabyte’s “Gaming Box” add-ons is easy to understand, using the bandwidth offered by Thunderbolt 3.0 to add desktop-grade dedicated graphics to thin and light notebooks, creating powerful gaming out of portability focused PC.

With the leaked RTX 2070 Aorus Gaming Box, Gigabyte will take their gaming box concept to the next level, offering powerful ray tracing performance thanks to Nvidia’s latest graphics architecture.

Like previous “Gaming Box” designs, The RTX 2070 Aorus variant will ship with s custom cooler, one which is ill-suited to traditional desktop use, using a large heatsink and a larger fan to keep the graphics card cool and quiet under load. This “Gaming Box” requires external power, offering an HDMI 2.0 display output, three DisplayPort Connections and a USB Type-C (VirtualLink) connection. The enclosure also provides three USB ports for system connectivity and interfaces with connected systems over Thunderbolt 3.0.
