Gigabyte is adding yet another motherboard to their Z170 lineup, bridging the gap between the black and red Z170X-Gaming 5 and the Gaming 7, delivering a motherboard with specs more similar to the Gaming-6, but with the black colour scheme of the Gaming 5.

One of the biggest visual differences that can be seen between this motherboard and the gaming 5 is the plastic cover/ shield for the rear IO, which makes the motherboard look much better.

This board is targeted for users who wish to overclock their memory and their CPU, being built in the full size ATX form factor and taking power for a standard 8-pin CPU power connector and using a high quality 11-phase CPU VRM.

When it comes to storage this motherboard has two M.2 slots, 6 SATA 3 ports or 3x SATA-Express ports and includes two USB 3.1 ports on the rear of the device.

On the audio side this motherboard uses Gigabyte’s 8-channel AMP-UP onboard audio solution features a 115 dBA CODEC, user-replaceable OPAMP, electrolytic capacitors, ground-layer isolation, and gold-plated analog jacks, which should give this boards users a great audio experience.

Sadly Gigabyte did not reveal pricing for this new motherboard, but it should be available to purchase within the next few weeks.
