High Speeds, Low Latencies – ASUS ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG monitor pushes for gaming excellence
ASUS is pushing refresh rates up and latencies down with its ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG monitor
If there’s one thing that ASUS is aiming for with its latest ROG tech, it’s reduced latencies. At Computex 2025, ASUS has shown us several ROG ACE series products focusing on this key metric. Why? Because latencies matter. With that in mind, let’s talk about ASUS’ ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG.
With lower latencies, games can feel more responsive. When the time between inputs and on-screen action is minimised, gaming experiences become more satisfying. Games feel more immersive, and it will become easier to execute actions quickly.
With the Strix Ace XG248QSC, ASUS delivers high refresh rates and minimal input lag. With its 610Hz refresh rate, this Super TN display is exceptionally fast. Furthermore, ASUS has stated that this new screen has 56% lower input lag than the competition. That’s 0.8ms of reduced latency. With its ROG Ace series, ASUS aims to create the ultimate lineup of eSports products.
ASUS has also claimed that this ELMB2 display can be up to 65% brighter than their competitors, mitigating the brightness impact of older anti-motion-blur technologies.
Reduced Motion Blur with ELMB 2
With its ELMB 2 technology, ASUS aims to reduce motion blur and make its new XG248QSG monitor sharper than its peers. This makes games look better on ASUS’ new ROG Strix Ace gaming monitor and makes it easier to spot fine details in fast-paced games.
ASUS has a side-by-side demo showcasing their 610Hz ROG Strix Ace XG24QSG and a competing high refresh rate monitor. This demo used the famous Blur Busters UFO demo, and the difference between the two screens was clear. ASUS’ ELMB 2 tech gave us sharper detail in motion.
