HP Showcases a 1440p 240Hz FreeSync 2 HDR monitor at Gamescom 2019

HP’s working on a new Omen X series monitor; one which promises to deliver super-fast refresh rates, HDR support and support for high resolutions. Meet the HP Omen X 27 HDR, the 1440p (QHD) monitor which offers gamers access to 240Hz refresh rates.

The Omen X 27 HDR is a FreeSync 2 HDR monitor which offers 90% coverage of the DCI P3 colour space, 1ms grey-to-grey response times and DisplayHDR 400 support. This is impressive for a TN monitor, but what’s more impressive is that this screen offer access to 240Hz refresh rates at 1440p, a feat which is extremely uncommon in modern gaming screens.

Want a high resolution and a super high refresh rate? That’s where the Omen X 27 HDR comes in, which FreeSync 2 HDR support adding the promise of tear-free gaming.

HP currently plans to release its new Omen X 27 HDR monitor this September in the US with an MSRP of $649. UK pricing and availability is unknown at this time.
