Iiyama releases their 5K XB2779QQS monitor for €799

Iiyama have launched their latest 5K 60Hz display, delivering users a high-quality IPS panel in a standard 16:9 27-inch form factor. With a price tag of €799, the ProLite XB2779QQS will be a costly purchase, offering 8-bit colour, a 1200:1 contrast ratio and a maximum brightness of 440 cd/m^2, let’s be clear, this is not an HDR panel. 

This display will utilise DisplayPort 1.3 to offer a maximum resolution of 5K with a refresh rate of 60Hz, with three additional HDMI connections that can provide a limited resolution of 4K 60Hz. Early 5K displays required two DisplayPort 1.2 cables to function at this resolution/refresh rate, with DisplayPort 1.3 making this panel much easier to use.
