Leaked AMD slides hint at sub-$700 Radeon RX 9070 series pricing
AMD aims for “more accessible” pricing for their Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards
Videocardz has managed to get a hold of some pre-reveal information on AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series graphics cards. This time, we have what appears to be a pricing hint for AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series. Sadly, this isn’t a confirmation of official RDNA 4 GPU pricing.
It has been claimed that AMD wants their RDNA 4 graphics cards to be “more accessible.” The company also reportedly stated that 85% of gamers buy GPUs that cost less than $700. With this in mind, it seems likely that AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 series GPUs will all cost less than $700.
Previously leaked performance data for AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs compare RX 9070 series models with AMD’s RX 7900 GRE. This again suggests that AMD is targeting sub-$700 pricing for their RDNA 4 GPUs. If AMD aimed higher prices, they would use an RX 7900 XT or RX 7900 XTX for comparisons.

Below, AMD has reportedly stated that they want their GPUs to be “more accessible”, to support “higher resolutions”, deliver “more performance”, and to offer “easy upgrades” to PC gamers. Note that the slide explicitly mentions 8-pin power connectors. Don’t expect many RDNA 4 GPUs to use 16-pin GPU power connectors.
(8-pin power connectors confirmed?)
If this leak is true, it looks like AMD aims to be aggressive with its RX 9070 series when it comes to pricing. Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti has an MSRP of $749, and AMD RX 9070 XT should be competitive with it in terms of performance. After all, both are XX70 XX graphics cards. If AMD launches their GPUs at lower prices and in higher quantities, the RX 9070 series will be a huge win for AMD and PC gamers alike.
