Metal Gear Solid Shadow Moses Recreated in Unreal Engine 4

Metal Gear Solid’s Shadow Moses complex has been recreated in Unreal Engine 4, bringing the complex to life in much more vivid detail with modern graphics and made to be almost identical to the original when it comes to object placement and the general aesthetic.

The developer behind this map remake, Airam Hernandez has been working to recreate all the stages of the Metal Gear Solid and to release these stages to other modders for free. Below you can see a screenshot of the original Shadow Moses, with the video below it showcasing the same area in the full glory of the Unreal Engine 4.

Rebuilding older titles or areas within new engines is nothing new, showcasing what some more classic titles could have looked like if remade in the modern day.

Right now it is unknown if this project will sprout a full Unreal Engine 4 remake of the game, but it certainly leaves that option on the table, provided that Konami does not take action against it.
