Nvidia RTX 2070 releases this month, offering support for the company’s RTX technologies at a lower price point than the costly RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti series of graphics cards. The RTX 2070 is about delivering support for technologies like hardware accelerated Ray Tracing and AI-driven techniques like DLSS to more users, with Nvidia selling this graphics card for £569 for its overclocked Founders Edition model.

More interesting perhaps is the variety of custom designs that will be hitting store shelves in the near future, with MSI’s design being one of the first models to leak onto the internet, revealing a cooler that is wholly different from its larger RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti counterparts.

This is not a TRIO series graphics card; the RTX 2070 GAMING X will feature a dual-fan cooler, making the RTX 2070 GAMING X a relatively compact graphics card when compared to its bigger brothers. Videocardz has stated that this graphics card uses a dual-slot form factor, making the RTX 2070 GAMING X both shorter and thinner than MSI’s RTX 2080/2080 Ti models.

Like all other RTX 2070 series graphics cards, Nvidia has no plans to support NVLink/SLI on the RTX 2070, relegating the feature to Nvidia’s ultra-high-end models. This premium RTX 2070 model will feature RGB illumination and the same selection of video outputs as Nvidia’s Founders Edition models, which includes three DisplayPort 1.4 ports, a single HDMI 2.0b port and a single VirtualLink port.
