Nvidia confirms that a Blackwell Black Screen fix is coming this week

Nvidia plans to fix Blackwell’s Black Screen issues this week with new GeForce GPU drivers

An Nvidia representative on Reddit (via Videocardz) has confirmed that the company plans to address the company’s “Blackwell Black Screen” issue this week. This fix can arrive in one of two forms, as a GPU VBIOS update, or as part of new GeForce GPU drivers. An MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC user has reported that their GPU already has a VBIOS update.

This is great news for owners of Nvidia Blackwell (RTX 50 series) GPUs, as it resolves one of the problems facing this series of graphics cards. At this time, Nvidia has not commented on the reason behind this issue. Regardless, it is great that a fix has been identified and is being implemented.

Further details of this fix should become available when Nvidia releases its next GeForce driver. It remains to be seen whether this fix will be launched as a “HotFix” or a full driver release.

Once this fix is released, Nvidia RTX 50 series users will have one less problem to worry about.
