Nvidia GTX 1180, 1170 and 1160 release dates leak

Nvidia’s GT 11 series of graphics cards has been speculated about for quite some time, with rumours of an upcoming release, delays and other factors filling headlines as early as January 2018.

Gamer Meld, a technology YouTuber, has published an email which contains the release dates of Nvidia’s GTX 1180, 1170 and 1160 series graphics cards, with the email seemingly coming from a retailer.

The report claims that there will be a conference call for the press on August 21st and that Nvidia will release their GTX 1180 on August 30th, their GTX 1170 on September 30th and their GTX 1160 on October 30th. The email also mentions a GTX 1180 graphics card with a release date of September 30th, though it seems likely that this graphics card refers to custom AIB versions of Nvidia’s GTX 1180, like the MSI Gaming X or ASUS ROG Strix versions.

Below is a copy of the leaked email.

At this time the validity of this email cannot be verified, though this launch schedule for Nvidia’s 11 series of graphics cards makes a lot of sense for the company. A late October release of their GTX 1160 is ideal for the run-up to Christmas when many budget-conscious consumers would consider upgrading their graphics card.

Below is Gamer Meld’s video on the topic. As always, take this information with a grain of salt. If true, Nvidia should be revealing their GTX 11 series of graphics cards within the next month.
