Nvidia GTX 1650 Graphics Card Rumoured to Launch Next Month

Fresh rumours from an unknown “3rd party”s seem to indicate that Nvidia plans to release a new Turing graphics card called the GTX 1650 sometime in March, which presumably uses the company’s TU117 GPU core design.

Right now little is known about the graphics card, with Videocardz listing the following specifications. Previous leaks suggest a retail price of $179 US, though the other specifications amount of little more than educated guesses.

Given the difficulties running many modern games with 2GB of VRAM, we see a 4GB option being a logical choice for Nvidia, acting as the new minimum for any new gaming hardware. Nvidia releasing a 3GB version of their GTX 1050 last year is likely due to their knowledge that the days of 2GB graphics cards are numbered, and it is likely that 3GB models are not far behind them.

If the GTX 1650’s rumoured pricing is correct, it will compete with AMD RX 570 graphics card, which has proven to be a highly competitive offering at that price point, especially when combined with AMD’s current game bundle.
