Nvidia Hotfix driver addresses micro-stuttering and stability issues

Nvidia issues Hotfix driver to address stability issues in Ubisoft Snowdrop Engine games

Nvidia has released their new 566.45 GeForce HotFix driver to address micro-stuttering and stability issues in specific games. Note that this Hotfix does not address the performance issues in the recently released Nvidia App. Note that these Nvidia App issues can be mitigated by turning off overlays.

Specifically, this driver addresses “micro-stuttering” issues that some GeForce GPU users are experiencing in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Additionally, it also addresses stability issues for Ubisoft games that use the company’s Snowdrop engine. This includes games like XDefiant, Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and The Division 2. Below are the release notes for this new GeForce Hotfix.

GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 566.45 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 566.36.

This hotfix addresses the following issues:

– [Indiana Jones and the Great Circle ] Some users may experience intermittent micro-stuttering [5015165]
– Improved stability for UBISoft games using the Snowdrop engine [4914325]

Gamers who aren’t experiencing issues do not need to update this new GeForce Hotfix. If you are affected by any problems this driver addresses, you should install this update before playing impacted games. This will allow you to have the best gaming experience.

Nvidia’s GeForce Hotfix 566.45 driver is available to download here. These fixes will be included in Nvidia’s next mainstream GeForce driver release.
