Nvidia RTX 5070 Drops below MSRP in the UK (again)
Gainward’s RTX 5070 Python III is now available below Nvidia’s MSRP at Overclockers UK
Nvidia’s RTX 5070 has once again dropped below its MSRP price in the UK. This time, Gainward’s RTX 5070 Python III is available below Nvidia’s launch day MSRP of £539. Right now, this GPU is available at Overclockers UK for £518.99, over £20 less than Nvidia’s MSRP.
In a world where MSRP graphics cards are hard to come by, it is fantastic to see Nvidia’s RTX 5070 drop below this value. Perhaps AMD’s highly competitive RX 9000 series can be thanked for this early sub-MSRP graphics card. Regardless, this is good news for the PC hardware market.
Like most RTX 5070-series GPU designs, the Python III is cooled using a triple-fan heatsink and uses a 16-pin 12V-2×6 power connector. The GPU is two slots thick and 291.9mm long. This makes this graphics card “SFF Ready“, at least by Nvidia’s standards.
If you want our thoughts on Nvidia’s RTX 5070, you can read our review of ASUS’ RTX 5070 TUF OC model. Overall, the GPU is a solid replacement for Nvidia’s RTX 4070 and RTX 4070 SUPER. That said, AMD’s strong-performing RX 9070 series GPUs (review here) take the wind out of Nvidia’s sales.
The fact that we can get an Nvidia 5070 GPU below MSRP is a clear sign. AMD’s RX 9070 series has had a significant impact on the GPU market. If the RX 9070 series didn’t exist, I doubt we would see this kind of pricing for Nvidia’s RTX 5070. As always, competition matters.
