Nvidia start a countdown to their GTX celebration event

Nvidia has now started a countdown to their GTX Gaming Celebration event, stating that “it’s almost TIme” for the “Ultimate Geforce”, hinting that this will be the launch event for their GTX 1080Ti GPU.

This event will be taking place between 6:30PM and 11:30PM (PST) on February 28th, with the celebration starting at 7PM sharp. This is on the same day as AMD’s Capsaicin and Cream event, which has a livestream between 10:30AM and 11:30AM, which means that Nvidia plans on cutting down the hype surrounding AMD’s Vega GPUs by launching their own high-end gaming product.

Right now Nvidia is expected to launch their GTX 1080Ti GPU, a GPU which will come with specifications that are between the companies existing GTX 1080 and the GTX Titan X Pascal GPUs. Right now it is unknown how Nvidia’s new GPU will perform or how it will be priced.

With Nvidia hinting at a TI launch with the hashtag “Ultimategeforce” it would be silly to expect Nvidia to launch anything other than their GTX 1080Ti GPU, especially with AMD’s Vega GPUs on the horizon.
