Nvidia’s Gamescom Game Ready Driver Packs a Performance Punch
With this new driver, Nvidia promises up to 23% performance gains in popular titles, promising gains in Apex Legends, Battlefield V, Forza Horizon 4, Strange Brigade and World War Z on RTX series graphics cards. The Geforce 436.02 driver packs a lot of performance optimisations, alongside support for three new G-Sync Compatible displays, the ASUS VG27A, ACER CP3271, and ACER XB273K GP.
Nvidia promises the largest performance gains in Forza Horizon 4 and Apex Legends, with Battlefield V, Strange Brigade and World War Z offering smaller performance gains. One thing to note here is that most of these gains are targetted at popular benchmarking titles for reviewers.
The Geforce 436.02 driver also contains other noteworthy features, which we plan to analyse in-depth in a future article. Nvidia plans to release their Geforce 436.02 driver at 2 PM BST (6 AM PT).
