Nvidia’s RTX 2060 Super Pictured – Amped up memory config confirmed
For those who are already familiar with Nvidia’s RTX Founders Edition range, you will know that this graphics card uses a heatsink design which is nigh-identical to the company’s existing RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 Founders Edition models, with the only significant difference being the addition of “Super” to the product in several locations. This Super add-on also adds an extra splash of green to the graphics card, which may look unsightly to some PC builders.Â
Videocardz is the ones who snagged these early images, confirming the specifications of the graphics card in the process, revealing the RTX 2060 Super to be more similar to the RTX 2070, than the RTX 2060.
Looking at its core and memory configuration, we can see that the RTX 2060 Super offers the same 8GB of GDDR6 memory as the RTX 2070 and 128 fewer CUDA cores, whereas the RTX 2060 has only 6GB of GDDR6 memory and offers 256 fewer CUDA cores than the RTX 2060. Strangely, the RTX 2060 offers a higher base clock speed than both the RTX 2060 and RTX 2070, but a lower boost clock speed than both graphics cards. These reduced clock speeds could be to help differentiate the RTX 2060 Super from the RTX 2070.Â

What we can see here is that the RTX 2060 Super is a moderately cut-down version of the RTX 2070, giving the RTX 2060 Super a great value proposition for PC gamers, especially for those who dislike the RTX 2060’s 6GB VRAM configuration. The question now is this, how well will the RTX 2060 Super compete with Navi?Â
