Â
PC Game Cracking/ piracy may become Impossible in 2 years thanks to the effort of Denuvo and other PC DRM providers as 3DM, a Chinese cracking group considers abandoning their attempts to crack Just Cause 3.Â
While the Denovo DRM has been cracked before, the latest versions of the software have proven very difficult to bypass, with 3DM’s founder “Bird Sister” saying that it has been driving their cracking guy crazy.Â
Â
Recently, many people have asked about cracks for âJust Cause 3?, so here is a centralized answer to this question. The last stage is too difficult and Jun [cracking guy] nearly gave up, but last Wednesday I encouraged him to continue.
Â
Bird Sister has also claimed that pirating PC games may become impossible within a few short years if developers continue to use anti-tampering/ anti-piracy technologies like Denuvo, as it will simply become too hard to crack.Â
Â
I still believe that this game can be compromised. But according to current trends in the development of encryption technology, in two years time Iâm afraid there will be no free games to play in the world.
Â
We at OC3D do not condone the piracy of games and believe that as long as piracy protection software does not harm the performance or the ability for legitimate users to play their games that DRM is a good thing.
Though let’s hope that developers do not get overly aggressive with DRM in the near future, as past cases like Assassins Creed 2 and countless other PC games have shown us that punishing legitimate users in order to disable piracy is a great way to lose sales.
