Philips Reveals 499P9H Dual-Wide 1440p HDR Monitor with Built-in Webcam
In the past workers got around this by investing in multiple monitors, but these days things are a little bit different, with the growing adoption of Ultra-Wide and Super-Wide screens enabling workers to access the benefits of dual monitors while utilising a single display. The latest entry into this market is the Philips 499P9H Brilliance.Â
In basic terms, the Philips Brilliance 499P9H if a double-wide 1440p monitor, offering a resolution of 5120×1440, a 32:9 aspect ratio and 49-inches of screen space. Combine this with a 1800r curvature, and a built-in pop-up webcam and professional users have an excellent all-in-one solution for their high-end display needs.Â
The display itself if a DisplayHDR 400 certified VA panel, which by default offers a 60Hz refresh rate. Philips has also listed this monitor with Adaptive-Sync support, which is believed to deliver a VRR range of 48-70Hz as well as 91% coverage of the Adobe RGB colour space. The inclusion of VESA compatible monitor mounts also allow this display to be mounted on movable monitor arms and 3rd party stands with ease.Â
With this monitor, Philips targets CAD designers, architects, engineers and photographers, all of which will benefit from this monitor’s high resolution. Philips’ MultiClient tech also allows multiple users to control their PCs from this screen, while also offering a quick select option that will quickly switch between input sources. DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b and dual USB-C 3.1 Gen 2 connections are offered by the Philips 499P9H.Â
