Philips reveals their 49-inch 3820×1080 Ultra-wide 492P8 display

Philips has showcased their upcoming 492P8 display, which offers an ultra-wide 32:9 aspect ratio and a screen size of 49-inches. This display will use a Samsung made panel which unlike that company’s C49HG90 will not feature Quantum Dot technology.

Unlike Samsung’s equivalent display, the Philips 3820×1080 492P8 is not designed for gaming and will feature a lower pricepoint, catering more to the professional market with a price tag that is said to be between $1000 and $1100 USD. This price is much cheaper than the Samsung C49HG90.

At this time many detailed specifications are known about this display, though it will feature a 1800R curve and come with DisplayPort, HDMI and VGA display inputs.
