Sapphire to release R9 Fury Nitro in January
Â
Sapphire is going to release their R9 Fury Nitro in January as a replacement of their currently available R9 Fury Tri-X. This new GPU from Sapphire will have an all new PCB design that features higher quality components and will have a DVI output on the rear of the GPU instead of including a DisplayPort to DVI adapter.Â
 Â
Â
Since this GPU is intended to be a direct replacement of Sapphire’s existing R9 Fury Tri-X the price of this GPU will remain the same as the Tri-X.Â
This GPU will be clocked at 1050MHz on the GPU core and at 500MHz on the memory, which is a 50MHz boost on the GPU core when compared to the existing R9 Fury Tri-X.Â
Â
In terms of aesthetics Sapphire move to a much more neutral Black and silver colour scheme, removing the orange that was in the original design.Â
The cooler is also taller on the new Nitro model, which should help this cooler remain cooler and quieter under load thanks ot the extra fin-space on the cooler.Â
