Steam Beta Update 1.2.33 is now available for Fallout 4, fixing several quest issues and performance issues that the game has had, including the issue that prevented users from disabling Nvidia Godrays in the graphical settings.Â
Being a beta update we recommend that users backup their save data before updating in order to ensure that your data is safe. Those who do not like the beta update will be able to revert to the older version of the game until and official patch is released.Â

- Number pad keys can now be used for remappingÂ
- Remapping Activate now works on Quick Container

FixesÂ
- General memory and stability improvementsÂ
- Fixed issue where equipped weapons become locked after completing ReunionsÂ
- Fixed issue with When Freedom Calls where the quest would not completeÂ
- During Confidence Man, fixed issue where player’s health would continuously regenerateÂ
- Fixed crash related to jumping into water and reloading saved gamesÂ
- Fixed issue where Launcher would not save God Rays Quality setting properly
This beta update is a work in progress so before opting into the beta, back up your saved games.Â
To get the beta, you need to do the following:Â
1. Log into SteamÂ
2. Right Click on Fallout 4 in your LibraryÂ
3. Select SettingsÂ
4. Select BetasÂ
5. A drop down menu will appear. Select Beta UpdateÂ
6. Select OK.Â
7. Wait a few minutes and Fallout 4 should update.Â
8. When done, Fallout 4 should appear as Fallout 4 [beta] in your LibraryÂ
If you decide you donât want to run the Beta anymore, redo steps 1 â 4. At the drop down, select NONE â Opt out of all beta programs.  Â

It is great to see that Bethesda has already fixed some of the issues with Fallout 4, especially the Godrays settings issue which has prevented many users from lowering their graphical settings for higher performance.Â
