Total War: WARHAMMER – PC Specs and Release Date

Today the final PC requirements and release date have been announced for Total War: Warhammer, finally letting PC gamers know exactly what hardware gamers need in order to play the game and when we can expect the game to be released.

Sadly today it was revealed that the game has been delayed by a month to the 24th or May, which Creative Assembly have said is a move that will give game reviewers more time in order to look at the title, though we expect this delay has also been to address bug fixes and performance issues that the game may possess.

Creative Assembly has also released the current graphical presets for the game, letting gamers know what to expect from the system specification and the performance data that they have released for the title.

Below is a table showing the setting used in the games out-of-the-box graphical presets, which are referenced in the games requirements below. Please note that these presets are not final, but they are what Creative Assembly are currently using in the game.

Below are the games minimum requirements, recommended requirements and the requirements for the game to play at 60+ FPS at Ultra settings. Please note that the resolution and expected framerates for the game are given with these specifications.

One thing to note is the expected framerate for the Minimum Specifications, which is 15-25FPS, in out opinion these framerates are too low for for this hardware to be used as an acceptable Minimum, as it is typically accepted among gamers that 30FPS is the minimum framerate required for a steady/stable gaming experience.
