ASUS reveals its AI-enhanced ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI router at CES
ASUS usef the power of AI to enhance their newest ROG router, enabling energy savings and boosting processing power
At CES 2025, ASUS has enhanced its gaming-focused WIFI offerings using the power of AI. Meet the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI, the first AI router to feature a built-in NPU (Neural Processing Unit).
This new router is an enhanced version of ASUS’ existing ROG Rapture GT-BE19000. ASUS’ new AI model uses an innovative “tri-core” architecture to deliver increased networking performance while enabling huge power savings. With this router’s “AI Power-Saving Mode”, ASUS claims that energy use can drop by 46%.
ASUS’ tri-core architecture splits work between the system’s CPU, NPU, and MCU (Micro Control Unit). Processes are offloaded to the MCU when the router is idling, reducing idle power draw. The router can instantly move processing back to the router’s CPU and NPU when connected devices are activated.
ASUS claims that this router’s integrated NPU accelerates local processing speeds and can reduce latency for users. Furthermore, this NPU also increases the overall efficiency of the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI. It’s also worth noting that any workloads offloaded to the NPU also frees up CPU performance for other tasks.
Like the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000, this new AI-enhanced model has two 10G ethernet ports, four 2.5Gb ethernet ports, and a single 1Gb port. This gives this routed 31Gb of wired capacity. In total, this router has 19 Gbps of potential wireless bandwidth. That’s a lot of bandwidth potential for one router.
Features like ROG AI Game Booster and Adaptive QoS 2.0 can reduce latency by up to 34% in supported games. As of this month, ASUS’ ROG AI Game Booster supports 3,000 games. Outside of gaming, this router supports useful networking features like Ad Blocker, Tracker Blocker, Network Insight, and RF Scanner.
We expect ASUS to release its ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI router this year. Unfortunately, ASUS has not provided an MSRP for this new router.
