Bambu Lab warns buyers about fake 3D printing websites

“Fake Websites” – Bambu Lab warns its userbase about 3D printing scams

Bambu Lab has issued an official warning to its customers about “fake websites” that are impersonating the brand. These fake websites aim to mislead buyers with promises of extreme discounts and “clearance” products.

While Bambu Lab claims to have taken legal action against the creators of these fake sellers, their warning to buyers only came after the YouTuber “Maker’s Muse” made a video about these scams. This implies that the company knew about this problem, but didn’t warn its user base until it became a topic of discussion on social media platforms.

Bambu has claimed that it is “impossible to fully eliminate these scams,” but they are collaborating with platforms like Meta to minimise their impact in addition to taking legal action.

Scam Alert

We’ve noticed an increase in fake websites and Facebook ads impersonating Bambu Lab. These scams trick users into paying for products they won’t receive, often through look-alike domains or fake discounts.

Please stay alert:

While it’s impossible to fully eliminate these scams, we’ve been taking action over the past few months through legal measures and collaboration with platforms like Meta. A big thank you to @makersmuse for highlighting this matter and offering actionable suggestions in his video: youtube.com/watch?v=CVrwNd

With Amazon Prime Day approaching, scams like these have become increasingly common. To avoid these scams, buyers should only purchase products from official resellers or directly through a company’s website. Users should also be wary of deals that are “too good to be true.”
