Bitcoin’s Value has now surpassed $15,000

Over the past few weeks, the price of Bitcoin has skyrocketed, exceeding a value of $10,000 less than a week ago and now breaking past the $15,000 milestone.

When compared to last year Bitcoin’s price has increased by over 20 times, rising from a price of $766.75 on December 8th, 2016. Right now the currency continues to become more valuable despite the UK’s plans to legislate the cryptocurrency in the EU and the recent theft of over $70 million in Bitcoin by hackers.

In the past year, Bitcoin has been breaking financial records on an almost monthly basis, with the value of the currency becoming more valuable at an ever-increasing rate in recent weeks.

Bitcoin's Value has now surpassed $15,000

2017 has been Bitcoin’s strongest year on record, though at this stage the currency is now seeing increased interest by governments due to its use on the black/grey markets and its ability to be used for money laundering and tax avoidance.

The introduction of legislation on Cryptocurrencies has the potential to cause a new crash for Bitcoin in the future, though 2017 has proven an excellent year for investors in the cryptomarket. There is certainly no shortage of people who regret not investing in Bitcoin earlier this year.
