The name Cooler Master can be associated with many things, from CPU coolers to cases and then PSUs and even input devices like keyboards and mice, making the company one of the most diverse manufacturers on the PC market.

At CES 2018 Cooler Master confirmed that they are investing more into software moving forward, showcasing their MasterPlus software to deliver not just full-room lighting control but lighting that can be controlled by what is happening on your monitor.

In collaboration with Nanoleaf, ASUS and Viewsonic, Cooler Master has designed MasterPlus to take immersion to a new level with peripheral, monitor and wall lighting that can be defined by a single software set. Settings can be saved in the cloud or across multiple systems, creating a unique setup that offers unparalleled levels of control.

At CES we were given the opportunity to have a look at what Cooler Master has been able to create on their showroom floor with this software. An example of this can be found around 8 minutes into TTL’s Cooler Master showroom tour, with Cooler Master showcasing a system where PC, wall and desk lighting were all defined by the colour was on the displays of their computer, reacting instantly to games and video to create an incredibly immersive experience.

Over time Cooler Master wants to develop this software suite further, allowing users to create unique and customisable systems. Future upgrades may even see the system move beyond RGB lighting.
