Disney’s Disney streaming service now has a UK release date

Disney has confirmed the UK release date of it’s Disney streaming service, confirming that the service will not arrive in Europe until 2020 and that “titles may vary by territory”.  

The release date of the service will be March 31st in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France and Spain, with more territories being announced soon. It is likely that Ireland will also receive the service at the same time as the UK, though this has not been confirmed.

Disney will contain content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic, with new series’ like The Mandalorian and Loki acting as early draws to the service. 

With Disney releasing in the US on November 12th, fans of Star Wars and Marvel will have to wait over four months before seeing any of these new programs. This will open the doors to a lot of potential piracy in the interim, especially if Disney takes a hard stance against VPN usage.  

In the US, Disney will cost users will cost $6.99 per month. The UK/EU pricing for the service has not been revealed.
