Elegoo is getting ready to launch its HUGE Jupiter 2 3D printer

Elegoo is about to release its largest and smartest resin 3D printer yet

Elegoo is taking its Jupiter series of resin 3D printers to the next level with the new Jupiter 2, offering a larger build volume, higher resolution, and tons of new ease-of-use features.

With a 302 x 162 x 300mm printing area, this 3D printer can print huge models or large batches of smaller models. With a resin pump and a 2kg resin bottle, users will not have to fear running out of resin mid-print. Additionally, the printer features smart tank heating, keeping resins at an ideal temperature. This increases the resin’s fluidity, improving layer adhesion and print detail.

Thanks to its 16K screen and a new frensel collimation lens, the Jupiter 2 promises much sharper results than the original Jupiter and Jupiter SE. With the Jupiter 2, Elegoo promises size and precise detail, something that the original Jupiter couldn’t deliver (at least to the same extent). The printer also includes live monitoring features, quick-swap film replacement, and easy auto-levelling.

A Big screen with sharp detail

With the same 16K screen resolution and a larger build volume, the Jupiter 2 has a larger  XY pixel size than the Saturn 4 Ultra 16K. However, this screen is still a massive upgrade over the original Jupiter and the Jupiter SE. The Jupiter 2 has an XY resolution of 20 x 26 microns. That’s better than the Mars 5’s 35 x 35 micron resolution.

Other upgrades over the Jupiter and Jupiter SE include support for WIFI connectivity, the printer’s integrated camera, its built-in resin heater and more. Below is a list of Jupiter 2’s specifications compared to the Jupiter SE.

Elegoo plans to host a “Meet Jupiter 2” live stream on April 15th at 9:30 PM EDT. We expect the printer to be released soon after. Last year, Elegoo stated that this printer would launch in Q3 2025, so they are more than a little late with this one. That said, we would rather see a good product released later than a bad product released early.
