WIFI 7 has become a major selling point for the newest laptops, motherboards, and desktop PCs. As the networking needs grow, so does our WIFI speeds, and WIFI 7 is now the fastest wireless standard in town. Gigabyte has now launched their first WIFI 7 add-on card, the GC-WIFI7. This card gives PC users an upgrade option to that enables WIFI 7 support, a first for a consumer-focused PC components manufacturer.

Gigabyte’s GC-WIFI7 is a PCIe x1 add-on card that offers users both Bluetooth 5.3 and WIFI 7 capabilities. The cards offers users up to 320MHz bandwidth support across the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands. The card also supports Multi-Link Operation (MLA) allowing the card to simultaneously connect to multiple bands. The card also ships with a ultra-high gain 2Tx2R antenna that supports both directional and omnidirectional signals.

The primary benefit of WIFI 7 is its supports for much higher networking speeds than older WIFI standards. WIFI 7 also supports lower latency connections, which is great news for gamers and teleconferencing.

Sadly, the GC-WIFI7 add-on card from Gigabyte is not currently available in he UK, which means that we do not know the planned retail price of this new WIFI 7 add-on card.
