Lian Li’s Strimer Plus takes RGB cables to the next level

Had we told you about RGB PSU cables five years ago, we would have been laughed out of the room. RGB cables? What’s the point in that? Some of you may still be asking this today, but that hasn’t stopped Lian Li from taking this radical concept to a new level.

Today RGB products sit at the core of every PC company’s product lineup, and that doesn’t exclude Lian Li. Meet Lian Li’s new Strimer Plus series of RGB PSU cable extensions; a product which offers addressable RGB lighting for 24-pin motherboard cables and 8-pin PCIe power cables, allowing PC builders to turn their PSU cables into the highlight of their systems.

In the past, custom sleeved cables sat at the upper echelons of PC modding, with cable combs, cable lacing and other custom modifications coming later to add some extra style to custom systems. Now, RGB cables are the new way to make your PC’s cables stand out, with Lian Li offering builders full ARGB lighting control options.

Lian Li’s Strimer RGB cables are addressable using 3-pin 5V ARGB headers, which can be controlled using most new high-end motherboards. This allows these RGB cables to be controlled using most RGB software solutions, such as ASUS Aura Sync and Gigabyte RGB Fusion.

Starting today, Lian Li’s Strimer Plus LED PSU cable extensions will be available for 8-pin GPU and 24-pin CPU connections, with Lian Li’s 24-pin cables shipping with a bundled LED controller. Both of these cables are available at Newegg, Caseking and Overclockers UK at the time of writing.
