SOVOL confirms the size of its upcoming multi-toolhead 3D printer

SOVOL releases more information about its upcoming multi-colour/multi-material 3D printer

SOVOL has officially unveiled the size of its upcoming multi-colour/multi-toolhead 3D printer. More specifically, they have confirmed the 3D printer’s build volume, which measures 300 x 300 x 350 mm. That’s smaller than the company’s SV08, which has a 350 x 350 x 330 mm build volume.

SOVOL’s new 3D printer is considerably larger than products like the Bambu Lab P2S and X2D, and Snapmaker’s U1. It has a comparable build volume to Bambu Labs’ H2C, which is a seven-printhead 3D printer.

In the post below, SOVOL has pretty much confirmed that its new multi-toolhead 3D printer will feature six changeable toolheads. This is what makes fast, multi-colour, multi-material 3D printing possible. Toolheads can be used for specific colours/materials, and switching is fast and requires no purge waste.

SOVOL’s upcoming multi-colour/multi-material 3D printer will give consumers a welcome new option. It remains to be seen how it will compare to existing 3D printers with similar feature sets, or how aggressively it will be priced. While it is a shame that this printer has a smaller build volume than SOVOL’s SV08, it has a larger build volume than all the most popular machines on the market.
